Wine Tasting: Korbel Champagne

Name: Korbel California Champagne

Variety: Chardonnay
ABV: 12%
Region: California
Year: 2020
Price: $14.50
Winery Magazine Review: Medium-intensity lemon in color with medium-plus sized bubbles, this wine has an aromatic nose of orange citrus, baked green apple, melon, pineapple, and blossom. On the palette the dry, medium bodied sparkling wine delivers flavors suggested on the nose along with toast.
Wine Folly descriptions (pg. 94): The most iconic sparkling wine is made with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. The most treasured wines age for 3 or more years. Anything that's salty or fried pairs magically with Champagne.
Personal Review:  I enjoyed this champagne thoroughly as I enjoyed its strong citrusy flavors that you can smell and taste. Definitely a dry champagne, that had a hint of tannins. However, the flavors were straightforward that was definitely a good for its price range.
